Each of the 27 nakṣatras (lunar mansions) is presided by a devatā — a deity-form named in the Vedas. The classical tradition associates a brief mantra with each of these devatā, drawn primarily from the Taittirīya-Brāhmaṇa Nakṣatra-Sūkta (3.1.1–3.1.5), Ṛg-Veda, and Atharva-Veda.
We present these mantras with full provenance (which hymn, which verse, which corpus) so that practitioners can locate them in primary sources and study them under competent guidance. We do not claim that chanting produces specific outcomes — that question belongs to guru-paramparāand to the sādhaka's own discipline.
