The rules
- Eligible grahas: Maṅgala · Budha · Guru · Śukra · Śani. (Sun + Moon + nodes excluded — see Sūrya Siddhānta Ch. 7.18.)
- Threshold: ≤ 1° ecliptic longitude separation declares war.
- Winner rule (Bṛhat Saṃhitā Ch. 17): graha with larger apparent diameter wins.
- Tie-break:diameter difference < 0.5″ → higher ecliptic-latitude graha wins (kranti-victor).
- Effect (Tier-W classical): loser's significations are described as "weakened" in BPHS Ch. 7.50 — Bharat Ephemeris flags this STRUCTURAL state but makes no life-outcome prediction.
