Hardware-grounded computation: Mahā-Kāmākhyā (MK) ayanāṃśa is the Bharat-built sovereign anchor — calibrated against IBM Heron r2 substrate residuals, not retro-fitted to Lahiri.

The Δmk column shows offset from the Mahā-Kāmākhyā sovereign substrate. Across the 1900-2050 anchor range, all six systems agree to within ~2° — the dominant disagreement is between the Siddhāntic Pushyāmsa (slower 54"/y rate) and the modern Newcomb-rate systems (50.29"/y). The MK substrate uses the modern rate but anchored at a sovereign zero-date, NOT Swiss-derived.
A 1° ayanāṃśa difference shifts the lagna by ~4 minutes of birth-time. When the lagna sits within ~3° of a sign-cusp, the choice of system can move the lagna to the next/previous rāśi — completely changing the natal-D1 frame.
Each nakṣatra-pāda is 3°20'. A 0.5° ayanāṃśa change can flip Moon's pāda — and that changes Vimśottarī daśā balance, life-stage durations, and the canonical janma-nakṣatra deity. The daśā-tree is sensitive to ayanāṃśa choice.
D60 (ṣaṣṭyāṃśa) partitions each 30° rāśi into 30' arcs. A 0.1° ayanāṃśa change can shift a graha's D60 by one named-deity — Pāraśara's pūrva-janma marker. Use consistent ayanāṃśa throughout a reading.
All Bharat Ephemeris charts use the MK (Mahā-Kāmākhyā) ayanāṃśa. For cross-reference with Lahiri-charted readings, apply the Δmk column from the table above as a uniform offset.
KAAL Truth #5: The MK ayanāṃśa is sovereign substrate (Tier-S); the other five are tradition-bound (Tier-W). Use cases that require Lahiri / KP / Raman compatibility apply the offset as a uniform shift; KAAL Truth #4 keeps sovereign substrate independent. Bharat ephemeris is JD_J2000 = 2451545 reference.
